Volunteers from the MMLA have been taking weekly water samples from 3 sites on the lake since 1982. These samples are sent to the UNH Lay Lakes Monitoring lab run by the UNH Extension Service. The resulting data and reports provide us with invaluable information on ongoing health and welfare of our favorite lake.
Over the past several years, the data shows that Merrymeeting Lake is the cleanest, clearest lake of all those monitored in NH! Let’s keep it that way!
