SELT volunteer opportunity

SELT is cutting a new path through the Collins Family Forest to allow access to Devil’s Den directly from North Shore Road without needing to travel on the Class VI road. Devil’s Den Direct will take folks from the Valley Way trail directly out to the Devil’s Den trailhead. SELT needs help clearing the corridor and roughing in a treadway, Depending on time and weather, there is also a footbridge to build. 

Work days are planned for 8am to 2pm on:

Work will be varied on any day depending on progress, weather, number of volunteers, and other factors. Chesley Road and Devil’s Den Road are both Class VI and are not great for low-clearance cars. Cars can be left parking area off North Shore Road and volunteers will be carpooled up to the top of the hill. 

Wear: Long pants and sturdy boots or shoes. Layers recommended, sunscreen and bug spray
Bring: Food, water, personal things
Tools: SELT will provide all needed tools and equipment
Experience: No experience needed, we can teach you anything we’re working on in the field!
