The MMLA Annual Meeting is this Sunday, July 7th, at the MMLA Meetinghouse at Cove Cottages. We’ll start gathering at 8:30 AM for some light refreshments, with the meeting officially kicking off at 9:00 AM. This year we will not be offering a Zoom option and hope to see our members in person.
Along with our usual business and updates on activities around the lake, we have a special presentation this year. The Southeast Land Trust (SELT) will be presenting a summary and discussion of the recent Merrymeeting Lake Conservation, Recreation, and Stewardship public opinion survey. This survey, distinct from the recent New Durham Land Use survey, gave residents the chance to voice their priorities for conservation and share concerns about activities around the lake. This information is crucial as it will help shape the future of conservation in our community.
