Default 10/21/06 minutes addition

The Newsletter Topics section should have an item for a short article on the creation of the MMLA Land Conservation Trust Fund.

Hi Marilyn,

Nice job capturing our long and wide-ranging discussions!

I found 3 very minor syntax suggestions,
  • page 2. "Web Master" should be "webmaster". It's not a formal title (nor would I want it to be). It's just a term that's become the norm for this position on websites
  • page 3 - Lauch Site Update section - timetable should be one word.
  • page 4 - I'd suggest spelling out water quality (rather than WQ). Many future readers may not be able to figure out the acronym.
Finally, for all... I didn't see anything in these minutes that would prohibit us from posting these minutes on the website for all to see. Any objections if we post these once all approve? It would be good for the association members to get some insight into what we do for them.

Thanks again Marilyn.

Mark

Post Posting of Minutes For All To Read

Revised minutes will reflect suggested syntax changes. Thank you. I have no problem with posting revised minutes on the website once they have been approved by the Board. Maybe there should be a deadline for input, and then we can take a vote!

Default minor edit to minutes of Land Conservation Trust Fund

I would like to delete the words "up to $25,000 of" from the paragraph on the MMLA Land Conservation Trust Fund paragraph from the minutes to be posted on the web, for now. This phrase should be maintained in our internal minutes. The reason for this is that there is now ongoing negotiations between the Town and a large landowner in the MM Lake watershed. Public knowledge of all funding sources and amounts available could impact negotiations and ultimately increase the cost to acquire this parcel. I suggest that we amend the minutes to include the amount appropriated after negotiations have concluded.

Post Minutes for Posting

The official minutes should remain in tact with the Sec'y/Treasurer's books. However, the minutes for the website could be posted without "sensitive" information. The header on each page should indicate "minutes for posting on website". Another alternative would be to post a "summary" of the official minutes of the meeting. Then there would be only one set of minutes.
