Default Website Update

Hello,

If you've reached here, you've probably noticed that I am in the process of updating the website. Please bear with me as I update links and former pages. It will take me a few days to get everything back in place.

But if you find a favorite feature that's missing, or you don't like the way the new site is working, please let me know. Even negative feedback is better than none at all. Sometimes I wonder if I am like Will Smith in "I Am Legend" and broadcasting to an audience that isn't there anymore.

Looking forward to completion of the new website and also activation of the webcam again. Hopefully it will be soon. Thanks for your work on this.

Default LakeCam

Hello South Shore,

Thank you for the kind words of support. They are appreciated.

The LakeCam is working. Attached is an image I captured last night of the moonrise over the south shore.

There is an internal software problem with the camera that occasionally causes the image to stop displaying. I've worked with the camera manufacturer to resolve this. But to date there is no fix.

The symptom is that the camera page paints but no image is displayed in the box below the "Merrymeeting Lake" header. When this happens, I need to remotely reboot the camera. I try to check it a few times a day. So if you encounter the symptom described above, wait a bit and try again later in the day. It should be back by then.

If your symptom is different, please post the issue here and I'll try to help you fix it. If you are seeing a problem, odds are others are too, and posting it here would help them too.

Thanks for the feedback.
